Piano pedagogy research has become one of my most valuable pursuits. I deeply enjoy working with teachers and students from all cultures and backgrounds, sharing knowledge, and fostering a love for music. Discovering my passion for Piano Pedagogy has been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life. A heartfelt thanks to my mentor, Dr. Scott McBride Smith, for guiding me along the way.

In November 2013, I broke my left wrist by a car accident, which led to two years of surgery and recovery. Although it was a challenging time, this accident inspired my specialty: How to avoid or manage injuries caused by irrational practice or poor technique. In collaboration with Chinese medical students, I created a grant-funded program named “How Pianists Coexist with Tenosynovitis,” recognized as an honored program at the Sichuan Conservatory of Music. I found renewed purpose in teaching and researching piano technique. My goal is to help others overcome challenges, enjoy playing the piano, and unlock their full potential through the science of learning.
